The Tagaung Taung nickel mine is located near the junction of Myanmar's Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, and Shan State. With nickel metal resources totaling 340,000 tonnes, a total investment of over $1 billion, and a designed annual production capacity of 22,000 tonnes of nickel metal, it is CNMC's largest standalone overseas investment project and the first large-scale mining project jointly developed by the governments of China and Myanmar.
